Webseries

Greetings earthlings,

So lately I've been watching a ton of webseries and it's basically cut cable out of my life (the only reason we still have cable is because my mom can't watch Food Network anywhere else). So to start out the revival of the blog I thought I would tell you all my top five favourite webseries.

For those who don't know a webseries is like any television show except for the episodes are much shorter (three to ten minutes for most) and air anywhere from twice a week to twice a month on the internet, most commonly Youtube. The thing I love about webseries is although the episodes are shorter, they air more often and don't use huge Hollywood actors, so the actors are very involved in the community surrounding the show and the fans are supportive and usually pretty crazy.

And now without further ado, my top five favourite webseries!

5. SquaresVille

Summary: So SquaresVille is a webseries about two girls named Zelda and Esther and their adventures through the town of SquaresVille. The place they live is very boring and they're always seeking adventure.

High Points: Great acting, witty punch lines and nice scenery

Low Points: Slow moving story plot and infrequent posting

4. Job Hunters

Summary: Story takes place in a dystopian future where after university the population of the earth is required to fight in an arena (possibly to the death) until they receive a job offer, or die. When they are not fighting in the arena they stay in safe houses and are forced to get along.

High Points: beautiful scenery, funny story line, KRISTINA HORNER

Low Points: posts only every two weeks, very similar to the Hunger Games

3. Dr. Horrible's Sing Along Blog
(technically this is cheating because it ended in 2008 but whatever)

Summary: Dr. Horrible's Sing Along Blog is basically amazing (the only reason it's not number one on my list is because it isn't airing episodes anymore) it's about a failing evil villain ( Neil Patrick Harris) who is constantly foiled by Captain Hammer (Nathan Fillion) and all he wants is to join the evil league of evil and impress Penny (Felicia Day)

High points: story plot, the cast, plot twists galore, humorous

Low points: NO MORE EPISODES

4. Lizzie Bennet Diaries
(it was really hard to choose between this and the number one)

Summary: The Lizzie Bennet Diaries is a take on Pride and Prejudice I which Elizabeth Bennet is a video blogger living at home with her mon and Bing Lee and Darcy just moved into Netherlands next store

High Points: produced by Hank Green, witty, high production value

Low Points: Elizabeth is portrayed as moody and THEY WILL NOT SHOW US DARCY

1. The Guild

Summary: a group of online gamer buddies start trying to bond in real life, and it's hilarious

High points: FELICIA DAY, relatable, very funny, high production value

Low Points: literally nothing

And there you have it! Hope you guys liked this, I highly suggest you check out all of these shows and let me know if you want more of these :)

DFTBA
Olivia :)

PS: honourable mention to VGHS fit it's amazing production value
