Fun Stories and a Decision.

Greetings earthlings,

It's really windy where I am right now. I was trying to get the mail and it took me about twice the time because of the insane amount of wind in my way. I'm crossing my fingers for a Snow Day.

Today at school was really fun.It was a pancake breakfast day and because I'm Student Council I got to serve and basically miss four periods of school. I was happy about this. I also got free pancakes and a tee-shirt. So hurray. It was fun, I was happy. We did this flash mob and everyone was confused. I learnt it in one day, so I'm pretty proud of myself. Also, pancakes, yum.

Anyways after that this weird lady came in and sang us songs about not bullying, it was really weird. Then we played Calley-ball and then we left.

Funny story: I was really tired today and I must have fallen asleep on the bus. I woke up to my bus driver Larry poking me trying to get me to wake up. It was pretty funny actually. That was a short story.

Anyways now for the decision. I was going to tell you guys just a long blog post about the cruise, but I realize since you probably read the blogs of both Emma and myself it would be pointless to just repeat all of the information. So instead I figured I would tell you guys just funny stories and little details about the cruise, and if you want just a long summary you can go to Emma's blog. (nanowrimoemjk.blogspot.com) So there we go. Those will be happening for a little while. Hurray.

One last thing before I go: I may or may not have told you a little earlier about Mini Enrichment, it's this thing where some students get selected to go to University for a week. So it's exciting. I finally figured out which class I got chosen to take at it's "Bippoty Bopitty What? Jumping Through The Rabbit Hole of Classic Disney Films". Which, if you know anything about me, you know would make me extremely happy. Since I'm utterly in love with Disney.

And on the note of Disney, one last thing. You'll never guess what song our Band is doing for our up-coming concert...You can't guess can you? Well it's an...

ALADDIN MEDLEY!!!!

I LOVE Aladdin and this combines Arabian Nights, Friend Like Me, and A Whole New World. As you can imagine, I'm pretty stoked. I squealed when I got the sheet music and now my music teacher, Mr. Macleod, thinks I'm insane. I think I might watch Aladdin tonight, that sounds fun :)

Herrow

Greetings earthlings,

     Woops.

In my defense, I had every intention of posting. I even had started a post about the awesome friends I made on the cruise and then I stopped because I was interrupted by someone (SANDY!) and we ended up speaking  for four hours. Then I wanted to do the same thing yesterday...but I spoke with Sandy for four hours again.

So you can just blame this entire gap on Sandy.

I bet a lot of you don't know who Sandy is. The truth of the matter is, I don't really know who he is either. I've only known him for a week. But that's the beauty of meeting people on cruises, you only have seven days together, so you make the most of it. Anyways, now we're super tight and I thought today I would tell you about him, and also Lucas. The other guy I met. I made a lot of other friends too, but I don't have time to share with you all of their amazing-ness. So you're stuck with Sandy and Lucas. Let's begin.

So, Lucas. Hmm...how do I describe him? Well, to start, he has an uncanny power to turn any comment, no matter how normal, extremely awkward. His most memorable line is undoubtedly "That's hot" Which he uses on a regular basis.  He also takes awkward silences and enhances them by randomly selecting a person in the room  and having a stare-down with them which usually involves some eye brow raising. Also, he has this really weird/cool thing he can do with his tongue which is equally disgusting and interesting. Basically he can move his tongue super fast. Like insanely fast. it's creepy. I wish I had it on video. The other thing is he enjoys is shushing people, which he thinks is attractive but is really just extremely creepy. One night we were talking until about two in the morning and then Lucas took the elevator down with us to our floor. we were walking for a bit and then we heard a "shhh" behind us. When we turned around it was Lucas peering behind a corner. Naturally we ran for our freaking lives to our room and locked the door.

Now, onto Sandy. Huh, how do I describe Sandy? Okay here we go. Imagine Lucas based on what I just told you. Are yo imagining? Great, now imagine the complete opposite. There - that's Sandy. Sandy is ginger, which I'm sure will make all of you happy. He also loves The Princess Bride and The Hunger Games and he has a hoodie that says "Hello, My Name is Inigo Montoya, You Killed My Father, Prepare To Die" And a "My Mama Says I'm Special" Tee-Shirt. He also carries around this backpack with gimp and origami and at least one book. And he always wears orange crocs and he's really sweet. (Basically the complete opposite of Lucas :P)

     I'm tired now, g'night

Greetings earthlings,

I'm back. Good, now you know I'm not dead. I will now proceed to drown my sorrows with chocolate and watch High School Musical and The Princess Bride while reflecting on memories. I guess tomorrow I'll write about the cruise. But for now leave me alone. I'm cold.

UPDATE

Greetings earthlings, This is going to be an extremely short post, since we're at baggage claim and I'm on my mom's iPad. But we're in Toronto and I didn't die anything. Hopefully I'll b able to post tomorrow but probably not. SEE YA SUCKAS!!!!! DFTBA Olivia :D

OMGAAAA

Greetings earthlings,

I'M GOING ON VACATION TODAY OMG I CAN'T WAIT THIS IS SO EXCITING I'M DYING OF ANTICIPATION!

In case you couldn't tell, today's the day I leave on vacation.

Now, I've received several complaints (And by several, I mean one) About me speaking to much about going on vacation. But here's the deal hommies, I'm going on vacation. It's a fact. And it's something you guys need to know. I feel it's important so you guys don't check my blog every day and wonder why I haven't posted. Here's a chart on your reaction if I didn't tell you I was going on vacation:

Day 1: Oh, Olivia must have missed a day, that's disappointing

Day 2: Hmm, I wonder Olivia is, she must have a lot on her plate these days.

Day 3: Okay, Olivia better have a REALLY good excuse for not blogging.

Day 4: Something has GOT to be up, it's not like Olivia to miss FOUR DAYS in a row.

Day 5: DEAR GOODNESS WHERE IS OLIVIA?!

Day 6: GASP! Maybe Olivia...DIED!!!!!!!!!!!

Day 7: She's DEAD! She's dead or maybe she's being held hostage by evil kidnappers and they're going to MURDER HER!

Day 8: OLIVIA IS GOING TO DIE IF WE DON'T SAVE HER!

Day 9: WE NEED TO START  RESCUE MISSION!

Day 10: She's dead for SURE NOW! We were TOO LATE!! DEAR GOODNESS I FEEL SO RESPONSIBLE FOR THE DEATH OF OLIVIA

Day 11: Oh... She's back. I'M SO ANGRY WHY DIDN'T SHE TELL US SHE WENT ON VACATION LET'S ALL GET POINTY STICKS AND ATTACK.

So you see Meaghan? Do you see why I have to blog about going on vacation? I don't want everyone to feel responsible for me death.

And when I get back, I promise I'll tell you guys EVERYTHING about the vacation! It'll be like you were there with me! (I'm sure Meaghan you can deal with a day of me discussing vacation-like topics.)

Okay good, now that that's over, I need to finish packing my carry-on. So far I have two paperback romantic novels, My E-Reader which contains like 30 Nancy Drew Books, the Harry Potter series and two more romantic novels. And pens and a note book and stuffz. So hurray!

SO EXCITED OMG

Sorry :(

Greetings earthlings,

Sorry I've been away for a while. I have excuses. Let's hear them shall we?

Sunday - About a thousand million and one hours of homework plus lunch with my Poppy.

Monday - Ski Club until nine and then homework until midnight.

Tuesday - Valentine's Day with my dad, no internet connection.

So now that you know why I've been away, I have more bad news for you...

I'm gone for another ten days.

I'm going on vacation (WOO SO EXCITED OMG) So I won't be able to blog until the 25th. Actually I'll be able to blog tomorrow, and maybe Friday at the hotel if Emma is kind enough to lend me her net book (Don't bet on it) But besides that I'll be in the middle of the ocean and internet will cost one of my vital organs. So when I get back I'll be on regular schedule again (Hurray!) And I'll tell you all about my trip!

Today I wanted to show you guys the dresses I was bringing with me. If you see this before two o'clock on Thursday, February 16 2012 can you tell me which dress you like the most in the comments? Thanks a ton :)

FOOD

Greetings earthlings,

Report cards came back today and I think I did really well (ALL As WOO!!) So I'm pretty happy. Then my dad came and he was really happy so we went out to this Vietnamese restaurant which is basically the best place in existence.

I had this yummy noodle soup with chicken and shrimp and vegetables and the noodles we're rice, so it was Olivia-friendly (Yay!) I also had a mango smoothie and egg roles, so now I'm a happy face.

After my dad and I came home and watched Crazy Stupid Love (I had already seen it but it's so cute) so we had fun and such, good times.

Tomorrow morning we're going skating and then I have Musical Theater, so that's exciting. Winterlude is on so it's gonna be epic.

Nothing else really happening today, maybe more exciting tomorrow...? (not.)

RAWR!

Greetings earthlings,

I got a call from Google, which was odd. I guess this blog is actually considered a business (which is a terrible deal for me since I don't get paid) They wanted me to "sign up for phone calls from up and coming entrepreneurs who want YOUR help!". I clearly just hung up, but apperently Google has my phone number and recognizes my blog, so that's good...right?

Also, I'm still really sick. This thing is spreading like hot fire. I've seen videos of people in the U.S with the same thing as me...Zombie Virus? (In case I'm right, I apologize in advance if I try to eat you alive) So I'm still home. I'm just praying I get better before my vacation. (Next week! WOO!) So it's still me in bed trying to eat pasta and suffer through the insane amounts of green tea I've been chugging. On the bright side I now get to have a Doctor Who Confidential marathon, which is making me immensely happy. I suppose I should go back to 2004 and start watching but I've heard Rose sucks so I'm kind of nervous. Anyways enough ramblin

(I wrote this at like eight a.m and then literally fell asleep while typing. I woke confused and disgruntled and with a bunch of Gs on the screen where my nose buried into my keyboard as I slept.)

Anyways, I have no idea where I was going with this post, it just kind of happened...

That Time I Almost Died

Greetings earthlings,

I'm still sick and it's extremely painful. I can hardly open my mouth without verging into a fit of hysteric coughs. I'm also having a extreme head-ache and my chest is hurting. So I'm home today. Which sucks, because it means I'm missing ski club :'( But anyways, does anyone remember my post in November entitles "M.I.T...fun times" ? Well in that post, I talked about almost dying. I thought today, I would share that story with you.

DISCLAIMER: At this point in time, the story may seem pretty freaking hilarious. But trust me, at the time of the incident, it was horrifying. Do NOT try this at home (although I doubt you could).

Okay, so on the way back from M.I.T, Emma (Inflatable Furniture and Bubble Wrap)'s parents surprised us by taking us to the Ben and Jerry's factory in Vermont. It was already dark outside, so we couldn't take a tour or anything, but we just went inside and got some ice cream for the car.

On the way back out, I say this HUGE ice cream container that supposed to be like a giant diorama, and decided to be a rebel and stand inside of it. As I stepped over the bar and the giant sign that said "Do not cross". I had a slight sense of pleasure.

Then, out of no where, Emma grabbed my arm and screamed "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" I looked at her, puzzled, and saw her pointing towards the back of the diorama. It turned out it wasn't a diorama at all, but a giant slide that went down an extremely steep hill.

Yup. So basically if Emma hadn't spazzed out at me I would have died, I also wouldn't have been able to enjoy the delicious taste of Half Baked Ben and Jerry's ice cream (which we all know is much more important than living)

Anyways, if you ever go to the Ben and Jerry's factory at night, STAY AWAY FROM GIANT ICE CREAM CONTAINERS!!

Top10: Books

Greetings earthlings,

Olivia is sick today. So sad :( I've actually just been spending the last two days stuck in bed doing nothing. So that sucks. But today I thought I would start a knew series for you all: Top10. Top10 is going to be like a rating a series where I evaluate a topic from one to ten! I'm going to start it off with books! Let's go!

10. The Truth About Forever (Sarah Dessen)

Okay, so I don't know about you, but during the summer months I like to pick up a bunch of cheesy romance novels and read them. Usually because I can't always take the hard-hitting action or fantasy novels and I need a change. But this one was actually really good.

Basically it's about a girl who's boyfriend leaves her for the summer and so she takes up a job catering and meets a boy names Wes who's super hot and stuff and she really likes him but she has a boyfriend.

There's also a lot of really deep stuff that I'm not going to give away. I would recommend this novel if you're looking for something a little less hard-hitting and emotional.

9. The Mysterious Benedict Society (Trenton Lee Stewart)

This was my absolute favourite book as a child, and I still love it to this day. It's essentially about a boy who is extremely gifted and goes to take a test for "special opportunities"  There he meets four companions and has to go on a super mysterious mission and save the world.

I know it sounds really stupid. But I don't want to give away too many details. And trust me, the story line is absolutely AMAZING! I recommend it with all my heart to anyone but especially so if you have an above average intelligence.

8. Percy Jackson and The Olympians (Rick Riordan)

I hate to admit it, but I actually saw the movie before I read the books and instantly hated it. Then Celeste basically forced me to red it and so I did, because I have large amounts of respect for Celeste's judgement in books. Turned out to be nothing like the movie and I completely fell in love.

It's about this boy who turns out to be a demi-God and then he fights mythical creatures and stuff it's cool. (DO NOT WATCH THE MOVIE!)

I would recommend this to any age or gender (although I'm pretty sure it's meant for boys) who likes adventure books minus the gore.

7. Coraline (Neil Gaiman)

Valerie-Ann actually gave me this book for Christmas when I was younger. And to be honest, the cover freaked me out to no end. I used to hide it under a blanket when I slept because it scared me so much. After I heard about the movie though it scared me less and I read it before I saw the film. It was so amazing I can't even tell you.

I'm not even going to try to explain the plot  to you because it's so confusing. But READ IT! I recommend it to EVERYONE!!!

PS: Just realized Neil Gaiman actually writes some Doctor Who episodes. You have no idea how in love I am right now. <3

6: Taken (Edward Bloor)

This is one of those books I discovered by accident in the library and couldn't put down. I actually ended up reading it twice, which is weird for me since I'm not usually in to these kidnapped books.

It's about a girl who gets kidnapped in the year 2035 and has to find a way to escape. But there's a really cool plot twist in the end I actually really enjoyed it.

I would recommend it to people you who like a good riveting action-adventure book and is up for some surprise twists.

5. The Book of Awesome (Neil Pasricha)

This book isn't really like the others on today's Top10 list. It's not fiction at all, actually. It's a humongous list of little everyday things that are awesome.

Some days when  I'm feeling sad I'll flip to a random page and check it out. It usually makes me feel a lot better about just life in general and what I should be thankful for,

I would recommend this book to anyone who need a little pick-me-up or just wants a reason to smile (I would ESPECIALLY recommend this book if you happen to be chronically depressed)

4. The Help (Kathryn Stockett)

This book is so moving. I love every little thing about it. It's not often you come across books based on the 19 hundreds that are actually interesting (I'm not one for history)

The main plot is a woman who wants to become a writer in the early 19 hundreds and decides to write a novel about the Help in her home town.

I would recommend this novel to anyone who anyone who wants something a little more emotional and has a tendency to laugh and cry at will. (Prepare for the water works, this one is deep)

3. The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time (Mark Haddon)

Read this one over the summer and LOVED it! I can't even describe to you how good it is, you'll just have to see for yourself. Omigosh it's so good.

It's about a boy who has Asburgers and is trying to discover who killed his neighbor's dog. It's all from the boy's perspective which is very interesting and the killer will surprise you!

I would recommend this one only if you enjoy more mature novels and can take a little heartbreak.

2. Harry Potter (J.K Rowling)

Surprise surprise, this is in the top 3. I actually don't really like the first book, but you gotta start somewhere, right?

Anyways, I'm sure you all know what this is about, but in case you don't it follows the story of a boy who is wizard and goes to wizard school and trouble ensues.

I recommend this one to EVERYBODY EVER it's really good :)

1. The Hunger Games (Suzanne Collins)

DUH, This book is basically the only thing I talk about in this blog. It's my absolute FAVOURITE and I can'y wait for the movie :)

It's about a dystopian future where the Capitol rules all and hosts the Hunger Games every year to show their power over the twelve districts. In the game a boy and a girl from each arena is sent in for a fight to the death.

It's so good I can't even describe. If you haven't read it. Go do that NOW. Seriously, stop reading my blog and run for Chapters or your local library.

Okay. That's the end. Back to napping and herbal tea and Doctor Who. Adios.

STEALZ

Greetings earthlings,

I am actually freaking in love with stealing Emma's post ideas. It's so easy and requires no work for me! Every time I'm stumped on what to do I just check her blog! So simple!

Here are some completely accurate descriptions of me on Urban Dictionary:

Olivia is the popular children's book by Ian Falconer. She is a fiesty little toddler pig who is smart and quick-witted.
"But there is one painting Olivia just doesn't get. 'I could do that in about five minutes,' she says to her mother.

This has nothing to do with me, it's mostly just the most hilarious description of Olivia the pig EVER.

Perfectionist
Artistic
Smart
Loves animals
Athletic
Outdoorsy
Short
Sarcastic
Beautiful
Woah who is that beautiful gallll?

omg! its olivia!!!!!!!!!!!! WOAH!!!! double rainbow all the way, man!!!!!!

YEAHHHHHHH!

WOAH SHES SUCH A PERFECTIONISIT!!!!! HER NAME MUST BE OLIVIA!!!!

I especially love the tags for this one :) Also, if this didn't say Outdoorsy it would be a perfect representation of me :)

all that is good in the world, she is the most perfect person you will ever have the pleasure of meeting. charming, pretty, and funny, once you first meet her she is the only girl you will ever think about. from her shining eyes to her sexy legs, olivia controls all men without even realizing it. like sugar kane, she is the sweetest girl, undeniably romantic and innocent, a passionate lover. every kiss will lead you further into her grasp. although she may feel unconfident, she is a professional in every way. even her smallest actions can be seen from space, but its a good thing the astronauts arent watching otherwise theyd lose control of their ship. upon entering the room, one word comes to the mind of all men present: damn. she truly has it all--looks, intelligence, and personality. she is untouchable for all except the people she chooses to let inside. many will misjudge olivia, but only those who take the time to get to know her will be rewarded with her friendship. but be warned-- once she has hold of you, you will never want to be with anyone else for she is perfect.
she's an olivia, you better get used to it

This one just made me feel super good about myself :)

Why Muffins Are Evil

Greetings earthlings,

This was suggested by Emma, and so I'm going to do a post about why I hate muffins and why they are evil and such.

1. Are they a breakfast? Or are they a dessert? I mean let's be honest, Muffins look healthy, they're like "Look! I have blueberries and nuts and stuff in me and I'm delicious so EAT ME FOR BREAKFAST!" But they're lying, because muffins are just cupcake posers, and I don't care how many freaking blueberries you stuff into that thing it's still a CAKE. An EVIL cake that makes you FAT!

2. GLUTEN! Yes people, Gluten is evil, it makes me sad and my stomach cries when I eat it. Muffins want to force themselves into my mouth and anger me to a point of no return and then I get sick because I can't it gluten and it's all the MUFFIN's FAULT!

3. (This is frightening, hide your children) Muffins want to start a REBELLION! Every time you eat a muffins, it lives on in your digestive system and once you eat more muffins they reproduce inside of you starting a MUFFIN ARMY! When you find yourself getting obese, it's not actually fat you feel, it's the muffins colonies expanding. That's right people, this is a serious issue. When you hear of people dying of a 'heart attack" that's actually the muffins they've eaten using your heart for NOURISHMENT!

BEWARE THE EVIL!!
