Blablabla and other stuff
Greetings earthlings,
I'm SOOO tired I was skiing for many hours. Tired. Tired tired tired.
Today wasn't as fun as last week and the bus ride home was a NIGHTMARE.
First, Sian told me he had saved me the second back seat.
Then Owen waited for me because I'm extremely slow and because I'm a lazy butt he helped me with my stuff.
Then I got to the seat and saw Zoe's stuff, so I just said whatever I'll sit with Zoe (In my head, people would think I was crazy if I said all of this out loud)
Then Zoe came back from whatever she was doing, saw me sitting beside her stuff and yelled "THAT'S MY SEAT!". Then promptly shoved me out to make room for Alicia. And as I stood there dumb founded she turned to me, gave a sympathetic look and mouthed "Sorry". Which was all a very odd scenario.
Then I got pushed up to the middle section of the bus with Kelsey (who is amazing) and we were surrounded my insane english children who drink an insane amount of energy drink (I lost brains cells just watching them interact) and so Kelsey and I just read our history textbook like the geeks we are.
That is it.

Interrup-hi!-tions 6.0 (And 30 Day Challenge!)
Greetings earthlings,
It's not Christmas but I don't care. Because this is Buddy and...SANTA!
PS: Here are the rest of the challenges I keep forgetting to do.
Day 6, A scene that made you laugh: This is super difficult, because everything is really depressing in this series. But I would have to say the story of Katniss and the goat really made me laugh. I think even though it wasn't that funny, just a break from the terror of the games was nice.
Either that or when they *SPOILER ALERT* both lived, just because I was freaking out.
Day 7, A scene that made you cry: SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER!!! Definitively when Finnick died. but I have a bajillion scenes where I broke into hysteric tears and my mom thought I was insane. I think they should have mourned Finnick's death in the book, not just continued.

imagine if cats could speak. i imagine if dogs could speak they wouldn't really move past the simple-minded barks they currently expel, but i'm quite certain the inability to precisely and effectively communicate is the sole deterrent in cats' rise to domination. kjhb.9p-= <- this was not me, but in fact Jack Krentz. Younger brother to Chad Krentz, the man for whom every photograph is a headshot. And incidentally, also to Samantha Krentz. God that family churns out children. Like Lily's family. But I musn't talk about Lily.
In case you had not yet realized, this post is not being written by O. Which is what I shall call the true and regular author of this blog, because she probably does not want to reveal her identity over the interwebs. Which is understandable. So anyways, given that this "O" is too lazy to write her blog post (the truth hurts) I will write it for her instead. O and I are almost six degrees apart in terms of separation but not actually because it's more like two. Or three. I don't know how exactly the semantics go. But I am the girlfriend of her best friends brother. Not Chad. Or Samantha. But then again, Samantha is not a brother. Hopefully. I don't really know, her profile picture is rather masculine and prompts a lot of questions.
I just asked O for something to write about. Eem Jayo gave me the subject of "multigrain baguettes". If I asked her again I'm sure she'd say "an AK-47" since we're clearly on the topic of things that could kill Jack Krentz. So, about multigrain baguettes: Wal-Mart sells them for $1. I don't think there's anything wrong with liking Wal-Mart, but that's a subject for another day. Multigrain baguettes taste really good with melted brie and jam on top... then again, that's white baguette. Which is clearly > multigrain baguette because as we all know, the less healthy the better. Speaking of yummy recipes, baguette with melted butter and icing sugar is also delicious. Do not doubt, it's obviously not that healthy but it's delicious. Don't knock it till you try it. YoungerbrotherofChadandSamantha is next to me eating something made out of chickpeas and criticizing my choice of baguette snacks, but then again what does he know? A baguette could kill him.
I just told O her blogpost was almost done and she said she was a little frightened. Well then I guess all my dedicated writing effort has gone to waste. Whatever, O's clearly crazy, given that she's currently happy frolicking and fraternizing with a cat that's a known homicidal maniac.
I suppose I should sign off for now.

Tabz
Greetings earthlings,
I thought for today I would show you all what I have in my bookmarks portion of these laptop, mostly because I have interesting bookmarks (but actually because I couldn't think of anything more interesting to post today)
Gmail: Obviously because I check Gmail everyday and am too lazy to type in the address when I feel like procrastinating.
Twitter: Same.
Facebook: Same.
(Wow, I should have predicted how boring this post was going to be. Continuing on...)
StumbleUpon: Something interesting for when you're bored (Or otherwise) basically you tell it your interests and when you press a button it brings you to a random website that might be of your liking. Then you can favourite websites and go back to them at a later date.
Pinterest: Where I pretend to be a crafty genius and post a bunch of amazing craft ideas (mostly ones I find on StumbleUpon) on my "Pin board" (Virtual wall of photos I post) Mostly though I just find crafters to steals ideas from.
Etsy: Possibly the most amazing thing to ever exist. It's like Ebay but everything is home made and reasonably priced. And you're dealing with REAL people, not computers or chain stores that don't care. I've already bought two bracelets and have my heart set on about a million items.
HEX: A nerd's dream. It's a role playing website where you get sorted into a house (I'm Ravenclaw) and take classes to advance years, all while shopping in Diagon Alley (and Hogsmeade on weekends) and joining Quidditch teams. Basically if you don't play you'd think I'm crazy, and if you do, well, you're crazy.
Dear Blank Please Blank: Basically just a time wasting website, but also super hilarious.
I Waste So Much Time: In case you didn't infer from the title, it's a procrastinator's dream.
YouTube: Duh.
nanowrimoemjk.blogspot.com Emma's blog and possibly the only thing that keeps me sane from lack of Emma in my life.

Hunger Games 30 Day Challenge Day 5, You're favourite fight/battle scene: This is a tough question since I basically despise and love all of them at the same time, but probably when *SPOILER ALERT* Katniss drops the Tracker Jacker nest on the careers and Peeta.

Thank Yous and Making Up
Greetings earthlings,
Thanks everyone for all the nice condolences, I'm feeling a lot better and regular posting is resuming...NOW!
Anyways, I realize I completely forgot about The Hunger Games 30 Day Challenge, and it only really occurred to me after spending two hours just lying in bed reading Catching Fire. So here's my missed days:
Day 2, You're least favourite character: I know it's not very original, but I can not even BEGIN to explain to you how much I freaking HATE President Snow. He's such a jerk. And *SPOILER ALERT* He deserved such a cruel death.
Day 3, A character you hate that everyone loves: I actually REALLY hate Venia, Octavia and Flavius. I don't really know if they're well loved characters but their over all arrogance and obliviousness, even during the *SPOILER ALERT* rebellion in MockingJay, just annoys me to no end.
And Today...
Day 4, A character you love that everyone hates: I love Effie. People find her annoying and in the trailer for the movie just plain creepy. But I personally loved her character in all three books AND the trailer. I also love her mini sub-plot feud with Haymitch.
Okay, now I'm returning to Catching Fire (which I have read so many times, I think I've lost track.) I just got to the part where *SPOILER ALERT* Katniss has to return to the Games, so riveting!

Goodbye
Hi everybody,
I hope you will all forgive me for not posting yesterday. And I'm sure you all noticed I didn't start my post with the usual "Greetings earthlings..." But this morning my grandmother Sadie Pearl Andrews (or as I call her, Nanny) passed away.
I loved her with all my heart, but she had been in the hospital for over two months and was in considerable amounts of pain. Last night she wasn't even acknowledging our existence.
She is in heaven now, and perhaps it's for the best. She was an amazing woman and it pains me to let her go, but that's the way it has to be.
I love you Nanny, and I'll never forget you. I know you're looking down upon me and smiling. :')

My dad was describing to me "The Borg" (which I think is a movie) and he was talking to me about how their voices sounded, here's how our conversation went:
Me: So how does The Borg sound?
Dad: They sound normal to each other, but to humans they have a robotic sounded voice
Me: Like "Beep Bop Bip Booooop"?
Dad: No, like (in robotic voice) "My name is Roberto"
Me: *laughing hysterically* What on earth made Roberto come immediately to your mind?
Dad: Robert
Me: What made Robert come to your mind?
Dad: *nonchalantly* Robot.
Yeah, so that was an interesting conversation.

Volunteering
Greetings earthlings,
This post is gonna be really quick today since I'm really tired but I just wanted ot give you all a quick update of my day.
I woke up at around six A.M to volunteer at my drama school ( which involved a lot of running around in the cold doing errands, stapling things together and consoling small children) It was tiring but a lot of fun and completely worth it.
Then I rushed as quickly as possible to the office shop (which I'm not going to say the name of since it involves my current location) and got some sketching stuff for Celeste.
And finally found my way to Celeste's house (She still had her Christmas lights up) and spending a couple hours there for her birthday (which involved a movie and a half, Chicken wings, waxy pie and Natasha chasing me around the house like a lunatic...oh and Chad!)
I also think eight ours of volunteer work gives you an insane amount of karma, like I quickly stopped at a Cafe and I told the girl I had a long walk, and then she upgraded my drink size for free and put a ton of chocolate-y caramel-y whipped cream-y goodness inside of it that made me sigh was awe when I took a sip. I also only had to go to one store to find Celeste's gift which was awesome (and it was on sale!)
Anyways that was my day :) Hope everyone had an awesome P.D day and I'll be back tomorrow wiht a STORY!!

Daydreaming
Greetings earthlings,
Do you ever have those times where you just sit down and contemplate life? Maybe fantasize about someone or something or make up an imaginary future? I do that all the time.
I like to sit down in my rocking chair and think mostly about a dream I had the night before, or maybe a future that's completely crazy. I don't know, but it's the joy of my existence, what keeps me completely sane. I thought I would talk about some of them
One fantasy I live over and over is I live on a boat, a small one with a top room and a bottom room. Outside I have two large chairs to sit in and watch the water and in the top room I have a bed, a side table, like a simple bedroom. In my downstairs room, though, it's a library filled with comfortable chairs and books. I don't care if realistically this would sink the boat, it's a daydream. Anyways connected to my boats are thousands upon thousands of other boats that are used for domestic use, there are also larger boats for businesses that dock every so often. Anyways the premise is the earth's ground has become too small for the population so people are living on boats.
Another I have is I'm a professional dancer. In reality I couldn't dance to save my life but in this dream, I wonderful. I like to think I'm a ballerina, with the whole tutu and the slippers with laces that tie all the way to my knee. This one's probably stupid, but I like to think about things like that. Like what I would be like if my talent's where different.
The last one I'm going to share is I like to pretend I go to Hogwarts. I'm sure a lot of you have had this one before, but I don't care. Sometimes I find myself sitting in my rocking chair for hours and go through my entire first year. From the sorting hat the that last day. I don't know why but in my day dreams I put myself in Gryffindor, even though I'm most likely a Ravenclaw. I don't even like Gryffindor house, but every year it's where I go. I think it's funny how in my day dreams I'm nothing like who I am now, I kind of like it that way.
Anyways there it is. You probably think it's childish, but just like a book I like imagining a world where nothing is the same. Even if it is stupid, It's one of my favourite past-times. Maybe know when you see me staring off in the distance you'll know a bit more about what I'm thinking about.

SNOW DAY and a list
Greetings Earthlings,
May I be the first to blog-inform you that today is a SNOW DAY!! WOO!! I don;t know why they called it pre-storm but I've learnt not to question them. Anyways, I thought since I had today off I would write my post early and get it over with, and so today I am going to show you all a list of the top five videos I've discovered in the past couple of weeks. Let's begin, shall we?
5. This video, I've actually seen before, but just rediscovered in the last couple of days. It's an experiment to get people to use the stairs as opposed to the escalator. Anyways, I'm not going to tell you how, but it's epic.
4. I just found this one today, actually. But making fun of Kristen Stewart is fun. So I thought I'd show you guys this one:

I'm Sorry
Greetings Earthlings,
I know what your thinking: "OMG! Olivia you didn't post yesterday" Yeah yeah yeah, I've posted twice a couple of days so this is fine, I'm still on top of my resolution. And I had perfectly good reason. Let's go over my day, shall we?
6:00 AM: Wake-Up
Imagine starting your beautiful Saturday morning off with "Ba, Bababababa! Are you ready?!" This is my alarm. And the thing that made it about a million times worse was knowing that in a short hour, I would be picked up by Natasha and making my way to Colonel By, where I would take a four and a half hour test. As you can imagine, I was sad.
7:15 AM: Realization
After a couple minutes in the car, I came to the sad realization I had forgotten my ruler. The list had clearly said ruler and I forgot it. I was stressed but we stopped at Shopper's Drug Mart and I got one. Hurray.
8:30 AM: Arrival
We got there, it was hectic. I remember a blur of being violently pushed by crazy Asian parents and then walking into a classroom and strictly given a list of rules by Grade 12 students.
9:00 - 11:15 AM: Test Part 1
It was pretty easy, just a lot of reading. The worst part was we didn't get any breaks and I wasn't allowed to go potty so that sucks. I did get to sit beside this really really nice girl though and she was sweet.
11:30 - 1:45 AM/PM: Test Part 2
We got a fifteen minute break which in my opinion was completely irrational and stupid for the amount of work we did. We also all got stuffed into the lobby and there was no where to sit so I ended up awkwardly talking to a girl I know from Audition Techniques. Then I went back and did much harder work and then it was over and I was happy.
3:00 - 6:00 PM: Zzzzzzzz
I slept.
6:00 - 9:00 PM: Purging
Went to Emma's house for a dinner party and ended up spending three hours helping Jack sort his clothing with Emma and Maleika (Hi Maleika!). On the bright side I did inherit a bunch of socks and a sweater, I'm wearing it now, it's comfy. I also got a ton of ginger snaps (gf).
9:00 - (Somewhere late in the night): Doctor Who
I then watched Doctor Who with some help from the several glasses of tea I was drinking.
So, now you know why I didn't post. Hurray. Also, Emma, You post did NOT count tonight. That was sad. I am angry.

I just got back from a supermegafoxyawesomehot hockey game where I played the anthem!
Yurp people, that's right. My school band got asked to play the anthem at the 67s Game tonight and it was terrifying, here's a picture!

Wizard Rock.
Greetings Earthlings,
I listen to a lot of music. It's basically everything. But I hate Pop. It actually makes me cringe and sometimes if I listen to it for an extended period of time i think my ears are about to bleed. So instead, I listen to a very different form of music, it's called Wizard Rock.
Now, don't get me wrong. I don;t only listen to Wizard Rock, I also listen, to Geek-Rock and Indie. But mostly Wizard Rock.
Wizard Rock, if you're not familiar with it, is rock songs about Harry Potter, and the lesser characters surrounding him. The songs vary from hilarious to extremely depressing. Some of my favourites include Wizard Love, House Song, and Don't Leave Me. Here's a link to one of those!
Geek-Rock is exactly what it sounds like. It's rock songs for geeks. My favourite Geek-Rock band is by far ALL CAPS but there are many other if you're willing to search, here's one of my favourite Geek-Rock songs:

Self-Esteem
Greetings Earthlings,
Slightly more serious subject today, but, and although I don't like to admit it. I'm extremely self-conscious. The internet is probably not the best place to let this out, but whatever, I'd doing it anyways.
Yeah, you probably know what I'm talking about. Everyone has it every so often. The thing is though, I'm not self-conscious for the reasons you might think.
I know I'm a complete nerd. That's not it. In fact. I think it's the quality I love most about myself.
I know I can be obnoxious and things, that's okay too. Everyone has their moments.
I think the thing that makes me so self-conscious is the fact I'm constantly comparing myself to other people...
If you just looked at me, I'm not fat. In fact, I'm a completely healthy, normal weight. And yet I compare myself to other girls my age, like for example, Alicia. She's got a model body. And so although I'm not fat, when standing next to girls like her I feel like it (Nothing against you, Alicia.)
Or, I'm not stupid. I'm smart, definitively intellegent. And yet when I compare myself to people like Emma, I am significantly inferior. So even though I'm smart, the fact that Emma is smarter makes me feel stupid. (again, nothing against Eem)
Anyways. I'm sure at least once you've had that doubt inside of you. Like "everyone seems to have that quality they excel at, what the heck is mine?!" Well, that's what I feel a lot. And I know it's because my hormones are out of whack. But it sucks.
Okay, that's enough ranting. Sorry if I wasted a lot of your time on this post. Woops. Also, just like to mention, I am not asking for a pity party here, I just wanted to share my feelings with you guys. So don't think I'm doing this for attention, it's a lie.

Back To School
Greetings Earthlings,
I went back to school today. And after only one day I find myself desperately wanting to stay up until two in the morning, sleep in until eleven, and do nothing but read and watch YouTube all day without being judged. I suppose I could do that at school, but I would most definitively be judged, and most likely sent to the principal's office. Anyways, it's probably not a good decision.
The only thing I actually really like about school is seeing my friends. And also Media Studies, which is AWESOME! Today, our assignment was to write down our top seven YouTube videos and why. So basically we spent the whole period on YouTube, and on Thursday we're swapping sheets with another classmate and watching heir videos, fun!
My bangs were a hit, people seemed impressed that I cut them myself. Also, as it turns out my Sherlock Holmes hat is almost identical to Sterling's hat. Yay synchronicity!
Okay, that's it. The only other thing I have to say is I CAN'T WAIT FOR THE WEEKEND (and it's only monday)

My bangs were a hit, people seemed impressed that I cut them myself. Also, as it turns out my Sherlock Holmes hat is almost identical to Sterling's hat. Yay synchronicity!
Okay, that's it. The only other thing I have to say is I CAN'T WAIT FOR THE WEEKEND (and it's only monday)

Coincidences
Greetings Earthlings,
Isn't it funny how sometimes things just fall into place? You know? Like when you're playing Go Fish, and you ask for a card but the person doesn't have it, so you fish and get the card you wanted? (bad example but I'm moving on)
Anyways, I was reminded of this today when I ran into Emma (Inflatable furniture and Bubble Wrap) at Chapters. Yesterday we had been talking about getting together today, but it didn't work out as she needed to study and I needed to memorize my monologues. It turned out we both went to Chapters at the same time and got to see each other.
In other news, I'm starting to use the new blogger interface. So far I don't like it as much, but I guess I'll get used to it soon enough
Also, I have my Audition Techniques class tonight, which should by interesting. I only have two left, tonight and next week. So far I'm not really getting into it, but maybe it'll get better near the end.

That's right, people. I'm completely obsessed with Beauty and the Beast. I know every song by heart and cry every single freaking time Belle sacrifices herself for her father.
Now, I don't watch it every night. Mostly just the nights I'm feeling sad.
Fine, you got me, twice a week.
Ugh, okay. Four times a week.
Alright alright! I watch it ever night. Okay? Happy now?
It's pretty bad, I think my parents are starting to worry about me. But I did just you the Wal-Mart gift card Poppy gave me for Christmas to purchase Beauty and the Beast: Diamond Edition. Which is digitally remastered and looks AMAZING! It no longer looks like just a series of photos being played over each other. And Diamond Edition is only going to be out for a limited time before they stop selling Beauty and the Beast all together. So I'm glad I got a copy.
Plus, it came with a FREE MOVIE TICKET TO SEE BEAUTY AND THE BEAST IN 3D I CAN'T WAIT!
Yeah, I'm a sap. But it's such a good movie. I love the song Gaston but I think my favourite song is Human Again, which never actually made it into the movie but it's super cool.
Anyways, that's my obsession. No one try and help me.

I went skiing!
Greetings earthlings,
Today I went skiing, skiing is fun. I like skiing. I am now talking to Benjamin Campbell and repeating every word I write to this page back to him. He is confused.
Today, skiing was awesome. We went to Pakenham, but there was no packaged ham :( Oh well, there were ski hills. Then Kelsey's mom bought me hot chocolate, and I was happy.
I learnt today Ben doesn't read my blog on a regular basis. This is his punishment:

WHAT HAVE I DONE ?!
Greetings Earthlings,
Okay, so one thing I wanted to do for the New Year was something that scares me. And, one of those things is change. I'm terrified of change, and for me, it's even more of a reason to do what I'm about to...cut my own bangs.
Yup. I'm crazy.
I figure my hair is pretty short so it'll grow back if I don't like it. And if you're thinking I'm crazy, I totally agree. By the way: I'm blogging this in real time. So right now I haven't cut my hair. I'll be taking pictures along the way and posting them: Okay...let's go.
Firstly, I have this really annoying cowlick in the front of my forehead, so I'm assuming my bangs are going to pop up unexpectedly. Oh well, not a big deal. Here's my cowlick:

Blogging A Lot in 2012
Greetings Earthlings,
So it's the new year (the 2nd, to be exact) and I need a resolution. I thought about many and in the end, decided on one I think will make you all very happy. (Unless you hate my blog and I'm forcing you to read it or something along those lines) That's right peoplez, I'm going to blog every day in 2012!
Anyways, we'll see how this goes. Last year my resolution was to write in my diary everyday in 2011, and I only made it until March, which kind of sucks. It also shows you how amazing my perseverance is. But I think knowing people will be counting on my blog posts might give me some sort of push.
If I think I'm going to miss a day, I'll blog twice the day before. But I think I should get some days off. Anyways you tell me what you think the rules will be.
Also, I'm announcing it here first, my amazing friend Emma will also be participating in BALI2012 (Blogging a lot in 2012) and you can check her out at nanowrimoemjk.blogspot.com for lots of awesome, and unicorns. Taylor Swift and The Hunger Games?
Greetings Earthlings,
I just posted, I know. But my very good friend Kelsey told me Taylor Swift was singing one of the songs that will be in the Hunger Games movie. At first, I was kind of angry, I wanted a less known artist to do the score. But when I listened to this song I started crying and couldn't stop. Which is crazy, since I'm not that emotional, definitely not the kind of person to burst into tears during a Taylor Swift Song.
What really caught my attention was it wasn't like all of her other songs, and it definitely wasn't what I expected. I had assumed the song would have been an upbeat country-pop song with a banjo thrown in there, but the song was slow and emotional. The way she sang was higher than her usual tempo and mixed beautifully with the lullaby-esque back round music.
An interesting thing about the song is if I hadn't read The Hunger Games, or if I had read them and didn't like them, the song would have struck me in a completely different manner and I wouldn't have liked it. But the way the song tied in so beautifully with The Hunger Games without straight out saying the characters names or anything like that was breath-taking.
I know I'm sounding really emotional about this song, but The Hunger Games is by far my favourite series, I think it's one of those books you either hate or absolutely adore (I only know one person in between the two) and for me it's important they get this movie right.
SPOILER ALERT! (skip this paragraph if you haven't read the first book) I really hope they play this song during the scene in which Rue dies. A lot of people have been saying they want it played when Katniss is caring for Peeta in the cave, but in my opinion it ties in much better with Rue. I can't wait to hear it with the movie either way though.

New Years and Blue Man Group
Greetings Earthlings,
Welcome, ladies and gentleman, to 2012. That's right everyone, today is January 1st, 2012, and I am reporting to you all today with sad and happy thoughts, first though I'd like to talk about all the FUN I had last night!!
So the party this year was smaller, which I didn't mind, because there were a LOT less screaming annoying children circulating the party this year, and it was more quiet (and less clean up!). On the 30th Ben came over to help me clean the basement (Thanks Ben!) and then before the party I did a quick vacuum, yay simpleness!
We listened to a lot of music, played a lot of Bop-It! (TM) and Hide and Go Seek in the dark for prizes, and after we watched the ball drop in Times Square and toasted everyone at the party with champagne (Which I found disgusting and promptly passed to Evan) we all celebrated to New Year by having a "Who can run the furthest outside in the snow in bare feet?" contest and then contently soaking in the hot tub, it was AWESOME and I think is now our New Years tradition.
When I woke up this morning I was SO TIRED but I went out with my family to see Blue Man Group and the National Arts Center which was really cool. We we're in the front row and the event featured segments such as banging on drums filled with paint to create artwork (One of the Blue Men actually gave me one of the paintings, which I am about to display proudly on my wall) and creating the ultimate dance party (which consisted of shaking our "tushes" while a voicaloid shouted variations of the word butt, passing around HUGE beach balls and having toilet paper, cotton balls and silly string thrown at us.)
Because we we're in the front row we were given water resistant ponchos and ear plugs, which scared me a bit (especially since I had had no sleep the previous night) but we didn't get wet or anything so it was actually pretty cool.
Anyways the reason I come with happy and sad thoughts are I really like 2011, and I'm sad its over, It felt like just the other day I was celebrating the start of twenty eleven, and now it's over. I think I might do another blog post as to the highlights of my year.
Well, that's all for today, I really like blogging, and I'd like to say I have a lot planned for 2012, but I CAN'T because the world is ENDING is 2012, DUH!
